You need not be elderly to work with an\u00a0elder law attorney. You&#8217;re just planning for the future.<\/p>\n<p>Whether you have a will or a revocable living trust, your estate document can be changed at any time. You&amp;#39;ll probably\u00a0want to review your estate plan from time to time anyway, especially if your marital status has changed, or a beneficiary\u00a0has passed away. You&#8217;ll also want to make sure that matters of contract like life insurance or retirement plan beneficiaries\u00a0are up to date too.<\/p>\n<p>Don&#8217;t forget that your estate plan can affect you when you&#8217;re alive too. If you&#8217;re rendered mentally incapacitated by illness\u00a0or injury, you&#8217;ll need somebody to make financial and healthcare decisions for you. If you&#8217;re averse to being put on life\u00a0support, you can expressly state that in writing, and Florida law will respect and follow your advance directive.<\/p>\n<p>You can always make changes in your estate plan, so address your wishes properly. Stop the State of Florida and one of its\u00a0judges from making your decisions for you.<\/p>\n<p>Circumstances change, and the law recognizes that.
