I am John DeGirolamo, founder of In Law We Trust, P.A. \u2013 a federal criminal defense firm concentrating\u00a0in defending\u00a0individuals and corporations that are accused of a federal crime.<\/p>\n<p>In 2013, I was nominated and selected to join the elite National Trial Lawyers of America, and have been recognized for the second year in a row as a top 40 under 40 trial lawyer for all of Florida.<\/p>\n<p>When you\u2019re accused of a federal crime, it\u2019s incredibly difficult to find an attorney with the qualifications and experience to defend you at the federal level. When <!--more-->minimum\/mandatory sentences are on the table, defendants and their families are terrified, and they need a lawyer with more than just state law experience. They need someone that understands the confusing nuances of federal law.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m able to solve that fear because I actually <em>began<\/em> my career defending federal cases and I have more federal criminal court experience than most lawyers have in their entire career. This means I can provide all of the available case options and suggest the defenses that those lacking the necessary experience, won\u2019t see.<\/p>\n<p>I do what I do because my entire life, both personally and professionally, I\u2019ve been the little guy taking on the bigger guy. The David vs. Goliath. Since I was a kid, I\u2019ve been put in positions that forced me to stand up for myself and take on the larger foe.
