Attorney John DeGirolamo was born in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania. He attended High School in the Philadelphia area before embarking on a trip to Florida, which turned permanent. John attended the University of Tampa located just off the beautiful bay of Tampa. After graduating with a Pre-Law degree that concentrated in criminology, John attended Barry University School of Law located in Orlando, Florida.
John began his legal career during law school as a clerk for a trial practice that concentrated in medical malpractice defense. Out of law school, John was hired to the litigation department of the semi-national firm Butler & Hosch. Having spent two years at the firm, it became clear to John that he missed the criminal law that he spent his college and law school careers studying.
The law firm of Charles M. Greene, which carries a high-level practice of State and Federal criminal defense and complex commercial litigation, hired John after his two years at Butler & Hosch. Under the tutelage of the managing partner, Charles Greene, along with the other colleagues at the firm and co-counsel with which the firm works very closely, John was able to learn from attorneys that are considered the best of the best in the local and statewide communities.
Attorney John DeGirolamo practices in the State and Federal Courts of Florida. The focus of his practice is on federal criminal defense, corporate litigation, as well as family law matters. John has experience handling high-profile cases in both the criminal and civil areas of law.
In June of 2014, Attorney John DeGirolamo joined the National Trial Lawyers of America and was selected as The National Trial Lawyers Top 40 under 40 in Florida! According to the acceptance letter dated May 30, 2014, “membership into the Top 40 under 40 association is by invitation only and is extended exclusively to those individuals who exemplify superior qualifications, trial results, and leadership as a young trial lawyer.” In June of 2015, Attorney John DeGirolamo was recognized as a Top 40 under 40 Trial Lawyer in Florida for the second year in a row.
