Thank you for reading the very first entry of the In Law We Trust Blog. I am John DeGirolamo, founder of In Law We Trust, P.A. – a federal criminal defense firm concentrating in defending individuals and corporations that are accused of a federal crime.

In 2013, I was nominated and selected to join the elite National Trial Lawyers of America, and have been recognized for the second year in a row as a top 40 under 40 trial lawyer for all of Florida.

When you’re accused of a federal crime, it’s incredibly difficult to find an attorney with the qualifications and experience to defend you at the federal level. When minimum/mandatory sentences are on the table, defendants and their families are terrified, and they need a lawyer with more than just state law experience. They need someone that understands the confusing nuances of federal law.

I’m able to solve that fear because I actually began my career defending federal cases and I have more federal criminal court experience than most lawyers have in their entire career. This means I can provide all of the available case options and suggest the defenses that those lacking the necessary experience, won’t see.

I do what I do because my entire life, both personally and professionally, I’ve been the little guy taking on the bigger guy. The David vs. Goliath. Since I was a kid, I’ve been put in positions that forced me to stand up for myself and take on the larger foe. To me, there is no greater satisfaction than facing the improbable and coming away with the win.
